Scholarship Purpose: This scholarship was created in 2012 by Randy and Lisa Fosler in honor of their daughter Shannon following her graduation from Illinois State University with a degree in elementary education. Shannon was cofounder of the University's Future Educators Association Professional (FEAP) chapter and was very involved in other campus activities, including acting as the first collegiate columnist of the FEA magazine, Go Teach. The scholarship also honors the memory of Shannon's great-grandmother, Margaret Haley, a 1933 ISNU graduate and teacher. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support for Illinois State University students who plan to become teachers in the field of elementary education.
