Scholarships are awarded at Illinois State University based on various criteria including:
Scholarships may be given by the Academic Department in which you are seeking your degree. They may offer scholarships to students based on academic performance, or a specific skill or talent.

Academically talented students may qualify for the Redbird Academic Scholarship, or invited to apply for the Presidential or University Scholarship by the Office of Admissions.
Scholarships are also available through each academic department and/or college, all of which require additional applications. These scholarships are searchable through the ScholarshipFinder. Select new transfer students can earn up to $3000 over two years of their undergraduate career with the Transfer Student Scholarship through the Office of Admissions.
Transfer students who are eligible for the Transfer Student Scholarship and are members of Phi Theta Kappa may also be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship.
Various campus Organizations & Departments have scholarships to encourage students to get involved in campus and community activities.
