Berk Undergraduate Student Writing Award

Scholarship Purpose: The funds are to be used to establish an annual award for excellence in written expression, based on scholarship and accuracy of content; clarity and flow of the narrative; correctness of grammar and other usage rules; and overall aesthetics of style. In judging submissions, matters of scholarship, style, and correct English usage should receive equal weight. Incorrect English usage disqualifies a submission. The award is restricted to undergraduate psychology majors. The award may be given for either empirical research papers or expository papers. Papers should be prepared in APA style. Any faculty member may submit one student paper annually to be considered for the award.
