College of Engineering Dean's Innovation Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose: The purpose of the College of Engineering Dean's Innovation Scholarship is to support freshman diversity initiatives for the first class of 2025 in the College of Engineering. The donors have a deep admiration and respect for the leadership of Illinois State University and its objectives for the new College of Engineering. Particular inspiration comes from Illinois State's conviction and passion for seeking diversity with the engineering field.

High School GPA: There is no High School GPA requirement for this scholarship.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

  • - Student must be enrolled in the following major: Any Engineering Discipline

  • - Applicant must provide a short essay (max 300 words) describing the importance and value of diversity including women and or persons of color in the Engineering field

  • - First preference is given to student from Central Illinois as defined by one of the following counties: McLean, Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Fulton, Knox, Lasalle, Livingston, Logan, Peoria, Macon, Piatt, Tazewell, Woodford. If there are no applicants from Central Illinois, as described above, the second preference is for a student from the State of Illinois.

  • - Preference given to student who is involved in Future Farmers of America (FFA) or demonstrates an agricultural background or other agricultural affinity

  • - Scholarship will be awarded as an $8,750 annual scholarship for four years
