Scholarship Purpose: The Cumby-Garrison Scholarship Fund was established by Charles & Dorothy Cumby Fund, a Donor advised Fund of Renaissance Charitable Foundation in order to promote the diversification of the Engineering field.

High School GPA: There is no High School GPA requirement for this scholarship.

Essay: An Essay is required towards applying for this scholarship.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

• o Student must be enrolled in the following major: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or General Engineering
• o Student must be at a grade level of: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior
• o Student must maintain an ISU minimum GPA of 3.0
• o Prepare a personal statement (e.g. 300 words or less) that demonstrates a commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion
• o Preference is to award one $10,000 scholarship each year, or two $5,000 scholarships each year
• o Preference is given to a student that is a member of one of the following RSOs: -Society of Women Engineers -National Society of Black Engineers and Scientists
• o Scholarships will be awarded for the following term: Scholarship can be renewed annually if above criteria are met, subject to available funding
