Scholarship Purpose: Each year, the Diversity Recognition Award Fund will provide one-half of the funding for the COE Minority Scholarship for Future Teachers in the Special Education Department. This fund will also provide a minimum award of $500 to a continuing undergraduate or graduate student who meets the criteria. Candidates for the award must be continuing undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Special Education Department, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and have a demonstrated record of service and/or future potential for service to diverse populations, priority will be given to students from underrepresented groups in the profession of Special Education.
