Scholarship Purpose: The Dr. Ann Beck Scholarship was established in 2019 by Ann and Gary Beck in honor of Dr. Beck's retirement from Illinois State University. The scholarship supports students majoring in communication sciences and disorders. To qualify, a student must meet the following criteria: 1) be enrolled in the Communications Sciences and Disorders major; 2) have a minimum GPA of: 3.0; and 3) be at a grade level of Junior, Senior, or Graduate student. Applicants must submit an essay on self-compassion in clinical work as part of the application packet. Scholarships will be awarded as a one-time award.
