Dr. C. Louis Steinburg Art Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose: Dr. C. Louis "Lou" Steinburg was an art professor at Illinois State University who taught for 34 years before retiring in 1993. His art work was displayed in various galleries and collections throughout the United States and across the world. Lou passed away in July 2014 but was a teacher until the end. Lou continued to enjoy instructing students in painting and kept in touch with many students throughout the years. A former painting student of Dr. Steinburg was particularly impacted by his teaching and started this scholarship in memory of Dr. Steinburg. The scholarship supports an undergraduate student majoring in art, with an emphasis in painting.
