Hope for Tomorrow Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Purpose: The Hope for Tomorrow Scholarship Fund was established by Gerald and Jo Deen Schmidt to help students studying their Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. They feel passionate about the Speech and Hearing Clinic at ISU as they have used the services for Gerald after he suffered a medical condition that the clinic was able to help him with his recovery.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

• o Student must be admitted into the Master's program in Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communication Science & Disorders
• o First preference will be given to students who wish to pursue careers in Acquired Neurological Disorders secondary preference shall be given to students pursing the field of Speech-Language Pathology
• o Student must be a resident from any County in Illinois EXCEPT Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kate, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will
• o Student can reapply for the scholarship once
