Illinois State University Alumni Association Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose: In 2009 the Alumni Association launched an initiative to create the Illinois State University Alumni Association Scholarship. This scholarship addresses the accessibility of undergraduate education to students who exhibit outstanding academic achievement and leadership and who demonstrate a financial need. Additional consideration is given to students whose immediate family members have attended or graduated from Illinois State University. The Illinois State University Alumni Association is a volunteer, non-profit organization that serves almost 180,000 alumni, the University, and its students. The members of the association strengthen the University's traditions, future growth, and networks of influence.

High School GPA: There is no High School GPA requirement for this scholarship.

Essay: An Essay is required towards applying for this scholarship.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

Community Service: There is a community service requirement in applying for this scholarship.

Leadership: There is a leadership experience requirement in applying for this scholarship.
