Scholarship Purpose: Under the leadership of Carol Chrisman, the Jan Cook Scholarship was established by colleagues and friends to honor Janet M. Cook in 2001. Jan was a founding member in the School of Information Technology, taught from 1968-1998, and was an expert on computer security. Each candidate must be enrolled full-time as an Information Technology major, have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours at ISU immediately prior to application for the scholarship, have earned at least six hours of Information Technology coursework (including one programming course), and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0. Preference will be given to women and minorities. Service as a volunteer on campus or as a community committee member is also a consideration.NOMAJOR NOLEVEL
