Latinx Alumni Network Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose: The Latinx Alumni Network (LAN) was established and recognized as an affinity network by the Alumni Association in the fall of 2014. The mission of LAN is to establish, maintain and promote a network for the empowerment and advancement of Latinx alumni, students, faculty, and staff at Illinois State University. As a part of LAN's mission, the organization desires to assist students is securing financial support through annual scholarships.

High School GPA: There is no High School GPA requirement for this scholarship.

Essay: An Essay is required towards applying for this scholarship.

Application Deadline: No deadline has been specified.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

• o Submit a personal statement/essay (maximum 500 words) demonstrating how their life experiences have fostered an understanding of, and commitment to, addressing issues of diversity and inclusion in Latinx communities.
• Student must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled in academic good standing at Illinois State University.
• Exhibit outstanding commitment to learning, campus engagement, community service, and leadership
