Scholarship Purpose: Lois C. Kaufmann graduated from Mennonite School of Nursing in 1939. She came from a large farming family and was the oldest female. Lois knew the value of hard work and caring for others. Her father encouraged Lois to attend the Mennonite College of Nursing even though it was a sacrifice for her to attend nursing school, because she was needed at home to help her family. She was always thankful for the education she received and looked back at her training at Mennonite as crucial to her career in nursing. The purpose of this fund is to assist a nursing student that exhibits financial need in order to continue their education.
