Scholarship Purpose: The Louis A. Olivier Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established by Lance Rogers and Steve Siros to honor the memory of Professor Louis A. Olivier Jr. who made an impact on their education and lives.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

• Preference shall go to students pursuing degrees in program areas where study abroad is integral to the success of their future profession. Examples may include Language, Literatures and Culture, Art, Foreign Service, International Business, Education, History or other integral program areas.
• Preference will also be given to students whose intention is to use their studies to 'give back' in some way, such as teaching, social service, foreign service, non[profit work, etc.
• Funds shall be awarded to students completing a semester or longer study abroad program (not class travel trips)
• Student must be in good standing in the Honors Program
