Scholarship Purpose: The Marilyn M. Boyd Memorial Scholarship for International Students was established in 2007 by Lisa and Benjamin Boyd in memory of their mother, Marilyn Boyd, who served as the program coordinator for Illinois State University's International House program for almost 25 years until her passing in 2007. The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship to an outstanding International House student who might not otherwise be able to attend Illinois State. Preference is given to students from developing countries world wide or emerging nations of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
