Mark Moran Endowed Scholarship in Social Work

Scholarship Purpose: Dorothy M. Moran established this endowed scholarship fund in 2011 as a tribute to the legacy of her husband, Mark R. Moran. He played a pivotal role in establishing the undergraduate social work program at Illinois State University. As an associate professor, he also taught at the University from 1971 until his retirement in 1981. He had a strong commitment to the professional development of students majoring in Social Work at Illinois State University. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to students who are pursuing a career in the social work field. Endowment assets are invested in the Illinois State University Foundation's long-term investment pool.
