Scholarship Purpose: Wilhelmina "Minnie" Vautrin was an ISU alum who was a Christian missionary in China for 28 years. She is known for the care and protection of at least 10,000 Chinese refugees during the Nanjing Massacre. The Minnie Vautrin Memorial Scholarship was established by Thomas Lucey in 2024 to honor her heroism.
