Scholarship Purpose: At the time this scholarship was established, Dr. Patricia H. Klass was serving as professor and chair of the Educational Administration and Foundations Department, and Dr. Linda L. Lyman was also a professor in the department. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to recognize and honor these two professors for their outstanding contributions to students, while also providing financial support for EAF doctoral students seeking careers in P-12 Leadership.

• Doctoral student in good standing, majoring in one of the programs in the Educational Administration and Foundations Department at Illinois State University that focus on P-12 education.
• Demonstrated academic achievement, as evidenced by an accumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated service to children in P-12 school settings.
• History of commitment to a career in education.
• Preference will be given to candidates serving rural public school populations.
