Scholarship Purpose: The Petrossian Tarrant Scholarship was established in 2001 by Wallace Anderson in honor of two influential Illinois State University foreign language faculty members, George Petrossian and Patrick Tarrant. The scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in good standing at Illinois State University who meets the prerequisites to participate in the French language study abroad program, is endorsed by the French faculty at Illinois State, has demonstrated financial need, has a cumulative GPA in French of at least 3.2/4.0 and an overall GPA of at least 3.0, and submits two letters of recommendation from Illinois State faculty.
