Scholarship Purpose: The Pyrle G. Barclay Endowed Scholarship in Elementary Education was established by family members of Pyrle Barclay to recognize her achievements as an elementary school teacher. The scholarship is awarded to an Illinois State University student who is a graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School or an entering or continuing student from Macon County majoring in elementary education. If there are no applicants who are graduates of Warrensburg-Latham High School or from Macon County, the scholarship may be awarded to any student from Central Illinois majoring in Elementary Education. The award is based on academic accomplishments and financial need.
