Robert Small Scholarship

Scholarship Purpose: Candidates for the Robert Small Scholarship awards must be enrolled in ISU and concentrating in art history. They must have demonstrated academic proficiency and scholarly study. Applicants should submit their credentials to the Art Department for consideration.

High School GPA: There is no High School GPA requirement for this scholarship.

Essay: An Essay is required towards applying for this scholarship.

Miscellaneous Information

• Applications for the Robert Small Award are open to all currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate art students of the Wonsook Kim School of Art. Specifically, those who have enrolled in an art history course within the last calendar year or are concentrating in the fields of Art History or Visual Culture.
• This scholarship does not require a portfolio review and is awarded based on an academic paper regarding art history / visual culture.
• Current and continuing Wonsook Kim School of Art students are encouraged to apply for departmental scholarships during Wonsook Kim School of Art Scholarship Season, which occurs annually at the onset of the spring semester.
• Demonstrated academic proficiency and scholarly study.
• Submit best academic paper written specifically for an Art History / Visual Culture course offered by Wonsook Kim School of Art during the last calendar year. Paper must be a minimum of seven (7) pages on any art historical topic and must include images of what is being discussed.
