Scholarship Purpose: The Sertoma Club of Springfield, Illinois Scholarship was established by President Mark Hanson and its members to provide financial assistance to students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Financial Need: This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can file the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

This scholarship is not open to International Students.

Miscellaneous Information

• Student in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders must be an undergraduate Junior or Senior majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Master's in Speech Language Pathology; or Doctorate in Audiology
• Scholarships will be awarded for the following term: one-semester scholarship renewable for a second semester if the student continues to meet the criteria. There will be one $2,000 scholarship awarded to a junior/senior majoring in CSD OR a Master's student in Speech-Language Pathology per academic year. There will also be two $2,000 scholarships awarded to students in the Doctor of Audiology program per academic year.
• Student must have a permanent address in one of the following central Illinois counties: Christian, DeWitt, Greene, Logan, Macon, Macoupin, Mason, McLean, Menard, Montgomery, Morgan, Sangamon, Scott. Preference given to Sangamon County students.
