Scholarship Purpose: Candidates for the James and Edith Aagesen Ward Family Trust Memorial Scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time junior or senior Special Education student in good standing at ISU, have demonstrated academic achievement via cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, have demonstrated commitment and skills to educate mentally handicapped students, be nominated by written recommendation of a faculty member familiar with the student's abilities, have graduated from an Illinois public high school, and have demonstrated need for financial aid.
